THE PITS AND PADDOCKS
Main Pit Building
The SMSP Main Pit Building and Paddock services the traditional Gardner GP Circuit, the extended Brabham Circuit, and the Druitt North Circuit.
Level One houses 10 Corporate Suites, plus the ARDC Garage Kitchen, Bar and Cafe on the western end, and the large Hinxman function room on the Eastern (Control Tower) end which can take up to 300 guests.
Amaroo (South) Pit Building
The Amaroo Pits are a second fully independent race paddock, featuring a complete paddock and dummy grid, pit lane on to T5, and Race Control, plus a corporate suite, three quad-garages, and washroom facilities.
It can house its own race meetings on the Amaroo South Circuit, or be utilised separately when the GP or Extended circuits are being used for functions or as a hire space.
THE ARDCGarage Kitchen, Bar and Cafe is Sydney Motorsport Park’s permanent, fully-catered and licenced café and hospitality clubhouse. After a hard day’s racing, it is the best place to grab a seat and a drink or bite to eat and ‘re-fuel’.
The Garage is situated directly above the existing pit lane, providing patrons with sweeping views of SMSP’s infamous Turn 1. The café and bar provides a casual, relaxed place to share stories over a wine or beer, long after the chequered flag has fallen.
Refrigerated refreshments include beer, wine and soft drinks. Café refreshments include made-to-order milkshakes, coffees, and tea. Over-the-counter lunches include burgers, salads and other hand-made delights all made to order, plus sandwiches, wraps, pies and sausage rolls.
The Garage space and a full catering service is also available for events, from sausage sizzles right through to black tie dinners, and can hold up to 120 people for seated functions, and more for cocktail.
Otherpermanent on-site food facilities include:
- The Paddock Cafe, situated at the start of the Druitt North paddock (SMSP's main paddock and pits), and typically operational during larger race meetings and festivals.
- The Amaroo Cafe, which sits adjacent to the Amaroo South Pit/Paddock
- The Grandstand Kiosk, which is operational at events which include grandstand seating or the use of the hard stand behind the SMSP Grandstand
- Pop-up stalls, coffee carts and other temporary structures are brought in for large scale race meetings and events.
