Want to compete, but find that first step a bit daunting?
Or would you like to become a Race Official and get up close to the cars, stars, and all the action of motorsport?
Then you need to get on the STARTLINE.
WHAT IS STARTLINE BY ARDC
Startline is a free information day for aspiring competitors and race officials, with the intent of demystifying the process and getting you trackside. Find out just how easy it is to get involved in motorsport today!
Learn from the men and women that make motorsport happen in Australia and overseas. Allow them to show you the passion they have for their sport, and the changes that participating has made to the quality of their daily life.
Learn and be amazed to find that there really is something for everyone in motorsport, and just how cost effective it could be.
The first STARTLINE Information day will take place on Sunday 21st of August, 2016 and is completely free of charge.
The NSW Supersprint Championship will be held on the Gardner Circuit and is hosted by ARDC, allowing us to showcase:
• our venue
• our officials
• our competitors
• the professional way we can run an event with volunteers
STARTLINE – COMPETITORS
Being a competitor in motorsport is not all about V8 Supercars and Formula 1 (although we can all dream…). And many of us do just that – dream, but don’t dare. But motorsport is not all about big budgets, teams and expensive cars. There are many disciplines within the sport, and within each, many financial levels.
The Need for Speed can be insatiable, and we want you to realise that it is Attainable, no matter what your budget may be. A car doesn’t have to be a supercar for you to enjoy the track – far from it – and being surrounded by fellow revheads and like-minded mates that share your passion is one of the best things about any sport.
Competition licences for those that would love to be “Weekend Warriors” are very easily attainable, and cost effective. At the grass roots level, there is only a Medical Statement to be filled in, so there are no expensive medical tests.
And you can start young – girls and boys can begin their competitive careers from the age of 12!

Have you ever sat watching F1 or V8 Supercars and thought “how do those lucky guys and gals get to be so close to the action?” Have you assumed there is a specific skills that Officials need to get involved, or that it is a ‘male only sport’?
It is actually a lot easier than you might think to get yourself trackside, and there are so many places it can take you.
And that’s why Race Officials do it – why they stand out in the wind, rain, sun for hours on end, travel all over the country and overseas, and often do it voluntarily:

- They getting behind the scenes and being up close to the action, the drivers and the teams
